VAMPIRES OF THE WILD WEST

Vampires of the Wild West welcomes us to Empire Valley in 1865 where a rogue vampire brood, led by head vampire, Mickey, has taken over the town along with a corrupt sheriff named Big John Payne. Can a retired outlaw past his prime, named Jim Walker, along with two working girls, Cecelia and Brandy, turned vampire hunters, and an over ambitious cowboy named Billy Champion save the town? Vampires of the Wild West combines and parodies two popular genre styles of vampire and western movies. It is loosely inspired by the 1987 movie, The Lost Boys by Janice Fischer and James Jeremias and the 1992 movie, Unforgiven by David Webb Peoples. Characters and story lines are reimagined in this fun filled fang gun slinging adventure.

About the Playwright
Mark Frank is enjoying being the Coordinator of Theatre/Associate Professor at Tulsa Community College since 2013 after spending the last 19 years at Coffeyville Community College. In 2002 Mark became a published playwright having published A Collection of Plays by Mark Frank Volume I, Volume II in 2006, and Volume III in 2009. His plays have been produced in Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New York. He also has written a children’s book called The Adventures of Princess Atlantis Part 3-4 and also a musical based on the same name. He is currently teaching Scriptwriting I and II at TCC and presenting Writers Alternative Trial Theatre (WATT FESTIVAL) for a third year. He is recently wrote a musical , Jumpin Jacks which features the music of Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell and just completed, A Purfect Life 3: Jasper’s Homecoming, He latest play is Vampires of the Wild West (A parody) which he will produce at Tulsa Community College in October 2022. I’m one of the original cast members from Vampires Of the Wild West by Mark Frank. I played Big John Payne. I’ve been involved in theatre close to twenty years and have been a part of fifty plus productions from amateur to professional and Vampires Of the Wild West ranks as one of my favorites to date. It is an epic show! From the hilarious opening fight scene to the iconic dance battle between the cowboys and the vampires, Vampires Of the Wild West will leave your audiences remembering why they love theatre. One of the funnest roles I’ve ever played, Big John Payne is a villain like no other! Your company should do this show!!!
