HEADED TO HEAVEN W/ FLAT JIMMY FALLON
by Vicki Vodrey

After taking her own life, Angela attends her own funeral to make sure her requests are honored. She has asked to be buried with her dog’s ashes, to have her cardboard figure of Jimmy Fallon placed by her side, and that her twin, Ethan, deliver her eulogy in the fashion of the “Thank You Notes” segment on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon by reading the handwritten notes she left behind. As the notes change from humorous and quirky to twisted and disturbing, Angela witnesses the impact her eulogy has on Ethan, his wife, and all in attendance.

About the Playwright
Congratulations, Vicki, on getting your play published and available for everyone to read. Compliments and gratitude to Next Stage Press for their excellent judgement and efforts in making this happen.
I hope others will enjoy this play as much as I did. You are so talented, and it is a pleasure to read intelligent and entertaining works like Flat Jimmy. It is obvious why your plays are successful and well reviewed. I am always impressed with the originality and creativity that goes into a work like Headed to Heaven. Your blending of humor and serious, and your venturing into areas that might make some people a bit “horribly uncomfortable” are deserving of high praise. Two thumbs way up, and a middle finger to all those who say otherwise. Wishing you all the best, Paul”
I read the play and found it very interesting, maybe, not for the lighthearted! I would love to see the actual play!!
Read it, it’s terrific!
This is a novel concept capturing an inventive approach to a woman’s funeral. There are so many layers from darkly funny to poignant.
