The year is 1593. During the hottest summer on record, Death stalks London streets. Richard Burbage and his company of clowns perform a farce of wordplay, plague, and puppetry while being visited by one Upstart Crow. Based on actual persons, this mortality farce is pure theatrical fiction. Live a little. Runs 75 mins without intermission, and roles are open to six actors of any gender, identity, or ethnicity.

About the Playwright
Lindsay Hayward is an international playwright whose work has been produced on three continents. She has also written for The Lasso, Fort Worth Child, The MSU Journal, and the UK Arts Council. Honors include a DFW Critics Choice Award, a TACA Award, and a Guardian Newspaper Critics Choice Award. Her play, EAT CROW, won IMPRINT Theatreworks’ First Impressions Series (2020), and Theatre on the Square’s New Works Competition (2022). Hayward is a Dramatists Guild member, former AEA/EquityUK actor, and registered V/O talent.
