About the Playwright
Max Langert is a playwright, producer and storyteller living in Austin. His plays have been performed in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas and elsewhere. He’s told stories for Listen to Your Mother, The Moth, Testify, Austin Bat Cave and The Vancouver Story Slam. He’s produced benefit shows for The Autism Society, The SAFE Alliance, and VELA Families. In his spare time he’s raising two teenagers and wondering what to do with an old drum set in his closet.
I held a reading of The Dating Project for my partner and we were laughing out loud.
It’s an affable play that captures what it’s like to date nowadays. I could see it being a crowd pleaser live—so many of us can relate!
