About the Playwright
L. Jay Edenmeyer is originally from Houston, TX and has lived around the US. He has had his works produced regionally, Off-Broadway, and internationally. Some of his works include …and god laughs,Sometimes, Just a Second, Minor Victories, TIGRESS, and Liberty & Joe DiMaggio. L. Jay received his MFA in Acting and Directing from the University of Arizona. As a performer and director, his work has been seen regionally, internationally, and Off-Broadway. He is a proud member of the AEA since 2001. After several years in Theatre and in Education, he is, currently, living with his husband (and rock!) in the beautiful Andes Mountains of Ecuador.
David Ian Lee’s preferred moniker is “theatremaker.” He is an active director, actor, playwright, and educator, though along the way he’s worn at least a dozen other hats. His plays have been performed on three continents and in multiple languages. Since 2016 he has served as a Producing Artistic Director for Pipeline-Collective, and in 2022 – after a decade teaching in higher education – he accepted the position of Director of the Theatre Conservatory at Montverde Academy, located outside of Orlando, Florida. David received his MFA in Directing from Illinois State University, studied in New York with Bill Esper and Terry Knickerbocker at the Esper Studio, and has been a cohort at programs including Directors Lab West and the La Mama International Directors Symposium.
